Ok, so I took on the task of doing a full bellows replacement myself. The shift cable bellow was the issue, letting water in. I am at the part where I have routed the shift cable into the boat and had to remove the inner cable to attach the lever to it an place it back into the sheath. I have had to replace 2 cables now because the cable will not go all the way in and stops at the curvature of the line inside the boat. I have tried lubing it to get it to go and adjusting the way the line lies within the boat to no luck. I have read and watch videos and no one seems to have this issue pushing it back in. Does anyone have a clue what the issue is, maybe I have the wrong style of inner cable? I know its the long metal "rod" piece that is not flexible and is not flexing with the curve.

You likely routed the shift cable wrong around the flywheel cover and wye pipe. Or at least that is what happened when I did my bellows and shift cable last year... if you look in manual 14 it shows the routing...

Are these OEM cables or aftermarket
