I was hoping to get input from owners of this type of boat. Top speed? Is there room to modify livewell (enlarge)? Overall feeling about the boat. The one i am looking at has about 30hrs use. Really. 1 owner, custom top, factory top, heavy cover. Original bow mount and front fish finder (owner said he used about 4 times) Colored lowrance gps. Has sat in his garage covered last 2 years. In all honesty it looks brand new, motor, interor, trailer. He wants $6800 which is over book but when i say it,s like brand new i mean it.

I would like to help you out, however I am new to this.

What I can tell you is If I looked at that boat and it's as clean as you say, I would have bought it.

We bought our boat 3 weeks ago. The first thing people told me was not to get the 4cyl engine. Our boat has the 4cyl and I am VERY happy with it. Unless you wanna be Joe speedster and fly down the waterway to show off, you will be happy with 4cyl. The speedo says I go 44 WFO. Fast enough for DW, Dog and I. Many years ago, I skied behind a 1959 16' SeaFury w/75hp Johnson. The new (used) boat does everything a lot better than that old boat so I am sure pulling a skier would be no problem. Nowadays lots of people are not happy with something that works good, they require extreme equipment only to be outdone by people with more extreme equipment. If your in that group, don't buy the boat.

Good luck on your search!

Thanks Glen for your input. Ya, 44mph would work. Perhaps i should have mentioned i love to fish alot more than i play. that was why I wondered if anyone modified the live well. The condition isn't a question. How it handles and fishes is my main questions. I was planning to install seat bases so i could use pedistall seats instead of back to back lounge seats when i fished to open up the back end of boat. thanks again, and if you think of something else feel free to let me know.
