Input Shaft Bearing Carrier Reassembly

I have just finished installing a new input shaft seal due to oil in the bellows.

My question is when I reinstall the carrier into the drive do I need to reshim? Or will I be fine reusing the shims that were there originally?

If it is only the shaft seal you have replaced then you can get away without reshiming it, so long as you do not over torque the centre bolt and crush the sleeve. Might just be added insurance to put a drop of thread lock fluid on the threads.
