I have a Merc 90hp 2 stroke 2002, I am not comfortable with just the over heat alarm. Is there any way to and either a water pressure gauge or a Temp Gauge? My concern is if you lose cooling water, why does the alarm go off? After the motor over heats. I would like a little advance warning. What made me think of this, is when I went to pulled my boat for the season last year, I had no water coming out of the pee hole, The pee hole was clogged and I was 600 yards from the ramp, had I been out on the river it could have been more of a problem.
(long story)<br /><br />YOu install the guage in the dash, run a thin plastic tube to the motor. Tap into the waterline or thermostat housing on the motor. Everything is covered in the instructions. The only thing not included in the kit is the thread sealing tape, the hand drill, and the hole drilling bit for the drill.
