Install old Quick Books on XP ??

Greeting from cold and wet Illinois! Wondering if someone on here can tell me if this might work? My GF had Quickbooks on her windows XP machine. Some computer genius did repairs for her and totally wiped out her records,and removed her quickbooks software,and she no longer has the disc. The cd I have laying around is "version 5.0 for windows"-which was installed on one machine years ago. Will it work?

It should install and run. However, if your GF managed to save any backups of her QB data file, the older QB software won't be able to open it.

If your girlfriend registered her copy of Quick Books she can call their customer support and explain. They may send her another copy or send her a download link along with the registration number.

Thanks for the tips! We'll install it soon. I think I registered it when I bought my copy,so I might be in luck on that too!
