Ive searched but apparantly this topic has not come up recently. I normally deal with small engines.
An elderly gentleman bought a T/T unit 2 wire from me off of ebay and his engine is a 3 cyl 1979.
He has no junction box or switch. Will this unit fit on his engine if he switches to the two wire relay box. Is the unit physically able to be mounted on his engine? This guy is from Washington
state and im from Fla and I dont want to charge this guy the freight etc. to send him a 3 wire since he has no relay/junction box anyhow.

Charlie

Charlie, unless I'm missing something here, they cannot be interchanged. the relay systems are different, the wiring is different, and I don't think it can be converted without alot of extra expense. This may not be the case, as someone may have a way, and hopefully they will reply if it can be done...........good luck! :)

basically all he has is the 2 wire unit I sent him. I was hoping if he got the newer relay box if it would work. My last 3 wire is on auction now so he may be out of luck. I have plenty of 2 wires (not for 40's or 50's of course) Oh well maybe ill just
refund the guy if he ships it back.
Thanks.
If anyone else knows for sure I would appreciate.
