Purchased 2 fuel water separators for my 4.3 Volvo Penta
On boat one fuel tank feeds both engines.
Each engine has external Volvo penta fuel pumps with fuel filter

Looking at new water fuel separator it has 4 threaded openings with arrows pointing flow directions opposite of each other

Is this designed for 2 engines one filter ?
Space is a premium and if I don't have too install the second separator that would be great

No, its designed so that plumbing is universal and can all be on one side if easy, the other side, or inlet and outlet on opposite sides

While it is designed so the inlet or outlet can go in or out from either side, you can use the two outlets to feed both motors. Issue can be that on filter may not be able to supply enough fuel for both maybe at WOT or other depending on other issues

Each engine has external Volvo penta fuel pumps with fuel filter

Since each motor already has its own fuel filter, it doesn't need another one unless there is an issue with the current ones

Ayuh,..... What size fuel line,..??

3/8" will be probably small for 2 motors, 1/2" will probably do,.....

If 1/2", feed it into the filter, then a 3/8" line to each motor,....

Two engines, two tanks and two filters.... otherwise, a single failure would compromise both power plants
