Installing ladder on fiberglass hull??

I have a '89 Cheetah 1650LS ski boat. The ladder on the boat is just a flip down ladder and the top step broke this past weekend. I was already looking for a new ladder but this made it even more a needed item. Anyway, how had is it to install a ladder on a fiberglass hull??? I have never done it but wanted to check and see if any of you have tried it and what all is involved. Thanks!!

I am at work now but will try to get some pictures of the current ladder and how it is attached when I get home.

Yeah pictures would definelty help. It depeneds on what kind of access you have to the transom of the boat.

I will get the pictures as soon as I get home. It is an i/o motor and there is no swim platform. Pictures to come shortly.
