Installing new Ignition sensor

I'm instralling a new ignition sensor on a 5.0lx mercruiser alapha one, the old snesor has two wires, the new has 3, a black one in the middle for a ground. WHere should the ground wire hook up to?

the ground should go to the back of the engine on a ground stud on back of the engine block should be on right side looking at the rear.
