Installing Second Bimini Top?

I have a new Harris Flotebote with a single bimini. After my maiden voyage I know a second bimini or other shade solution will be needed. After looking at the factory installed bimini top it looks like it would be easy to install another single top. Is it an easy project and does anyone have any idea what a Harris factory bimini costs? Thanks!

Not only can you get a second Bimini, but you can get a "filler piece" that zips between the biminis for one continuous top.

Hey Bob...is the "filler" piece something you have someone make custom for you? Thanks!

Well sure, any good canvas person should be able to make that for you at a fairly reasonable cost. Mind you, you'll probably also have to add zippers to both biminis, but that same good canvas person would have no challenge with that.

Mine came with my boat, because the boat came with two biminis, and a full camper. I STILL haven't looked in the bags of "camper parts", to see if the "zip-in" piece is really in there. The salesman swears it is in there, and some day soon, I'll actually open those camper bags stowed under the seats, and try to "put them up". I'm going out for three days this weekend, so maybe I'll get to it.

Our toon also came with three Bimini's they all zipper together to form one long roof. Side curtains and front drop also. Full camper setup. In Florida its just to hot to use even the 3 tops we have the center and rear tops in use and the front Bimini wrapped and stowed in case we need it. No side curtains and no front drop in use. But it is cool when all up. If we were up in the Northers states it would be great.
