After reading about how much smart tabs have helped people who were battling the same performance problems I am having (porpoising and excessive bow rise before the boat planes off) my wife bought me smart tabs for Christmas. I am about to install and have been reading how different people recommend going about drilling the hull and installing the tabs. Some claim using 3M 5200 adhesive in the hole and on the screw is good enough. Others say drill an oversize hole, fill with epoxy and then drill the correct size hole through the epoxy. I am sure there are many different ways of doing a good job, but if I am going to drill a dozen holes in my transom, I want to make sure it's done right! All opinions will be appreciated.

I'd go the 5200 route myself. That's some really good stuff.
