I have a 04 bayliner 185 and want to add another set of speakers. I am good at installing stereo systems but my problem is all the panels are fiberglass. How would you cut the hole without chipping or causing any delamination? Any tips? Thanks

I used a rotozip, cut through it like a knife thru butter.

Cut away, the speaker covers will hide any chips or mistakes.

The old wood working trick is to apply masking tape where you will be cutting to control splintering from the saw. Never tried it on fiberglass, but it may work. And if it doesn't, like it was already mentioned, the speaker grills will hide the ragged edges. Put tape where you want the speakers, then mark the holes on the tape, then cut right through the tape. This has the added advantage of the tape being easier to make your cut lines on.
