Gentlemen,

Is this feasible or should I keep looking for a motor with T&T installed? I found a good deal on an 89' 70 (exactly what I want) but it doesn't have T&T.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks, Maury

Used power trim units turn up on eBay all the time. Keep in mind, you'll need all related items (solenoid box, wiring, dash or control switch, etc.) to complete the conversion. Once you have parts, it should be fairly straightforward to convert. Remove tilt shock assembly and replace with trim assembly, add wiring & switch, and voila - finis!

yep, I've done it a couple of times. I swap the whole mounting bracket and tilt assembly in one piece though. It's not that hard but you need a very large socket to remove the bracket from the exhaust housing.

And you will need to transfer over the trim solenoids and wiring from the donor motor as stated.
