installing water pump ( O.ring?????)

im putting a water pump on my 1975 johnson 135hp v4 the kit came with an o ring except i cant remember where it goes help please. i wounld like to find a site that has blown up diagrams to look at i used to know a site but cant remember name.

You can look on the brp website, it will have all the diagrams you need. The o ring is probably for underneath the impeller, it rides on it, or at the top of the drive shaft in the slot beneath the splines.

i went to BRP but couldnt figure out how to navigate the site to find diagrams. i purchased my kit from BRP

I dont know why its not sending you direct to the page i copied. Click on Johnson under "Products" in the top left corner, then GO. Then click on 1975 in the left column, then 135,then your motor model number. After that click on gearcase and your blown up diagram will appear. Hope this helps.

Just a guess, but how bout the top of the shaft, below the splines.
