Looking to recondition/paint my instrument panel this winter. It is currently flat black with the lables written in white above the switches. I would like to powdercoat coat the the panel and of course reapply some lables. But from I've seen at the local boat stores they are just cheap peel-off stick-ons. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could use. Also do they make powdercoat in flat black?

Thanks
Don

I relabelled my dash with peel and stick I bought from a Crafts store they have been stuck now for 4 or 5 years and still look good.

Got a trophy supply house or a place that engraves awards in your area? You can have small hard plastic labels engraved (you know like a name plate on a uniform) or get the brass award plates engraved. They would outlast any of the peel and stick ones.

Bob

Engraved plastic labels like Bob_VT is talking about are readily available at boating stores like West Marine or Boast US for 99-cents/each. May or may not be cheaper than a trophy store, but I like the trophy store engraving idea a lot! You can customize. The plastic labels from WM are standard names only; port, starboard, fog, overboard, sinking…

http://mastercatalog04.westmarine.com/0669.asp
