Any recommendations for boat insurance companies? I'm shopping around because my usual carrier won't write any new policies.

Thanks,

I have used Progressive.com in the past; included roadside on the trailer as well.

It's not the cheapest or best, but Alstate is the only company that would cover my 14ft river sled with a 90 hp pump. Started off in 1990 at $14.00 and now in 2006 is $20.00 a year.

Make sure any policy spells out coverage for environmental damage. Your boat sinks and spills some gas, and you may never dig yourself out of a financial hole. I dropped a major carrier because they couldn't answer this question or put coverage regarding it in writing. BoatUS has been very good but a tad pricy. Seems worth the added expense to get their coverage.
