Interchangeability of V6 Chev parts question - 4 bbl intakes 3.8 - 4.3

Question of the day.......
I have little experiance of what Chev V6 engines are based on each other. Hoping someone can assist.

Question is.... is the 3.8 l (229 Chev) based on the same block as the 4.3 - no balance shaft motor?
If so I assume the 4bbl intake from a 4.3 will bolt up to a 3.8 ? Correct ???
I would like to upgrade to a 4bbl over the winter.

Nope they are compleatily diffrent engines.
