Interchangeable Parts Between Years?

I have a 1984 Mercury 60 HP 2-stroke, non bigfoot remote steer. It broke a rod, after locking up, so I purchased a 1995 Mercury 60 HP 2-stroke non Bigfoot to replace it. My question is, what parts are able to be used on the 1995 from the 1984? I'm hoping the lower unit would swap over so I would have a spare. I know the Control box will work, and the prop, but anything else? I also want to take the bayonet style fuel connector from my 1984, and swap it to the 1995 so I won't have to buy all new fuel line connections for my tanks. It has the new style 2 prong connector like Yamaha does. Any and all advice is welcome. Thanks!

Not much will interchange due to the fact the 1995 is a looper and 1984 is a crossflow. Ignitions parts,midsection and lower unit all different....
