I just installed a new GPS speedo. I flubbed the first try. I saw what I thought was a spare purple B+ wire, so I ran it directly to the speedo. Oops, This was the feed at the trim gage which fed the rest. So all other gages had no feed, including the tach.
No start. No Faria speedo self check cycle or any other gage including the tach. I put the feed where it belonged, and made a jumper to the speedo and all was fine. The tach has the hour meter. I reckon it also feeds the ignition circuit to prevent someone trying to bypass the tach and cheat on the hour meter.
