i had to replace some of the wood on mine also. If you replace any of the wood just paint both sides pretty good first to make them hold up a little longer. the sides are screwed on. look for the screws under the folds of the vinyl where it changes colors. I found a good upholstery shop by me that sold marine vinyl, foam padding, adhesive, pretty much everything i needed. They can even give u advice if you find a good shop.
