A month ago a posted a thread regarding a very intermittent electrical problem I was having. The problem went like this; after running around the lake for awhile I would very occassionally loose ALL power on the boat (no meter, just no power to the console, no start, no trim-nothing) after sitting dead for a little while, the power would come back on and the boat started just fine. Well after posting and almost throwing a bunch of money at it, I decided to follow Bond-o and Don S suggestions. I replaced all wing nut connections, battery terminals and cleaned all power (including the large cannon plug connector) and ground leads on the boat. I've been out three times since then with not a single problem. Also, my on the dash volt meter now registers an additional 1.5volts (shows 14.5v now). Motor seems to start with more authority too.
Moral of the story is, trouble shoot more, listen to the advise of the more experienced mechanics and stop throwing money at the problem.

Thanks again Don and Bond-o, your advise has saved me alot of money and has kept me on the water,

Paul
