87 capri with Force 85. Fuel pump was just rebuilt, fuel filter was replaced, plugs cleaned, everything else looks fine.

I placed another (cheaper, transparent) inline fuel filter BEFORE the sierra spin-on (to catch and view any ethanol-related gunk). It appears that there is air coming into this filter (at least, it never completely fills with fuel, there's always mostly air in it).

Sometimes it will run for five minutes at WOT, and the next time I punch it, it just dies.

Do you have any quick disconnects in the line? They have rubber seals in them and after a while go bad and will let air in.
I have the see through too and it never really fills up if it lays flat.Up and down it will fill up.J

To add to Jerry's post I replaced all the fuel line hoses with alcohol resistant/proof rubber fuel lines. So far so good. Yeah it great for the enviroment and the price but ethanol enriched gas is the worst concept I ever heard. Lucky for us there are still a few all-gas fueling station around.
One question though will sea-foam do the same thing as Stabil as far as ethanol removal?
