Occasionally, my 89 3.0 liter IO will not crank unless I turn the key to start position a few times without touching any of the controls.
I thought it was the ignition switch, thinking it was old. replaced that.
Thought I could hear the solenoid on the starter click, so I replaced the starter, that wasnt it.
What else is in line electrically, that will not allow the starter to engage ?
This happens very infrequently, but when it does in the driveway, by the time I get my DVOM or electrical meter to test the circuit, it will start then next time I try it.
Driving me crazy and its short drive.
Thoughts?
