Had recently replaced cables and had boat in water to do idle adjustments, went to take off and could only get to 2300 rpm and reverse would not work right so it was back to the dock to do re-adjusting. Got everything working right took off again, ran great, then went from 5500 rpm to bogdown and and motor would start in gear again. When working shifter and restaring engine idle rpm's would change slightly and eventually engine would run o.k. again. Did a final adjustment on cables and now engine ran fine through last lengthly test run. At one point while engine would not go above 2300 rpm the motor missed slightly and took off ran fine. This was just before final adjustments. Does this sound like a problem that would occur due to throttle linkage being not adjusted properly or another problem mixed in. Have checked fuel lines, VRO is new,and pumping the bulb did not help. I am hoping it is a simple as water in fuel but Racor should of removed water. I am thinking also power pack. after it was all said and done motor ran great, but that is not saying what will happen next trip. Any input as always is greatly appreciated.

Taz
