Well, I just found out about this website and cant believe how much great info. is on here. It's nice to meet everyone! Here is my Story, this is from another forum when I first got the boat.

This is my story:

When I was 5 years old my dad purchased a '74 CV-21 from my uncle, this was done at my urging and he named the boat "Brad's Idea" after me. He sold the boat when I was still semi young and it broke my heart. Fast forward about 22years--- Now that I am older and have some money I have spent the last couple years looking for another 74 CV-21 to no avail.

Well, last week I happened to be in Northern Michigan and took an alternate route than normal to get to my destination. While driving I happened to glance and see the familiar colors of a glastron in a back lot. I pulled over and 4 wheeled back to it. It was a CV-21 Pretty rough shape but worth investigating. I tracked down the owner with some detective work and found out it was for sale. Meanwhile I called and told my Dad what I had found, went on with my commitments and went back the next day to really check the boat out. Well...........it was our Boat! On the back you could make out "Brad's Idea" faintly and it still had my grandfathers 455 cammed out Olds engine out of his toronado in the engine bay as well as the Olds Hubcaps my Dad had on the trailer.I could hardly contain the feeling I had. Well, I walked back to the guys house and bought it in what he says is running condition. We'll see about that down the road. Anyways, my father and I are beginning the long road of restoring our old family prize. It feels great to have it back in the family again after more than 20 years! What are the odds!?!?!?

Thanks for reading and I look forward to speaking with everyone over the next few months!

Everything was shot, floor, seats, trim pieces, stringers, paint, etc etc. Well, is et about gutting it and rebuilding it. I finally got it to run last summer and got the floor in it. Unfortunately I lost all of my photos of doing the floor and building all the seats and trim. But here is a short video of getting it to fire for the first time in almost 20 yrs.

And this is what it looked like when I finally got it back together enough to hit the lake in October, no interior but it ran like a bat outta hell.

So now as it stands, the entire interior is at the upholstery shop, the boat is at the paint shop, it has all new stringers, a new floor, I built all the seats and the trim pieces, new gas tanks with plumbing all ran, new wiring....all new hardware (Cleats, Vents, Bilge Pump, Blower, Vinyl Burlwood Trim, Teak, Vents, Horn, New Carburetor, and Gauges, are on UPS trucks on their way to my house!)

This is how she left the other day to get her shiny new Bronze metalflake paint job! I cant wait to get it back!!! - Going back original 70's with everything.
