To iBoats, not boating... I have been boating since I was in the womb, and don't plan to stop anytime soon...

A friend of mine (Arks) raves about the great folks on here. I have even had the chance to meet a few while out on his boat...

Well, after a 2.5 year refit, I finally have a running boat under me again, and thought I would poke my head in here to see what all of the chatter is about. Maybe I will get to meet some of you as the season gets into full swing.

My boat (giant beer can) is berthed at Harbour North, which is at the Elk/C&D split just off of the (very) upper Chesapeake Bay.

welcome--good to have another salty here. yours is on the large side of many of the boater's boats around here although there are several with cruisers. Lots of trailer-kept lake boats, too.

Welcome to iboats!

Just be careful of that Arks guy!! He is said to terrorize the waters near Havre de Grace!! Just kidding! Yes a great iboats person .....he's been here for some time.

We value all of our member's. Look around........ check out the various forum sections and the iboats store.

Re: Introduction

Shane, I had the pleasure of having lunch with you and Rob and a few of the other upper Chesapeake boaters last Spring in HDG. About time you got on here! Welcome, and we'd LOVE to see some pics of that giant tinnie you've got.

Can you see how nervous I am? Definitely not a good feeling to her swung around like that...

And of course, the boat's namsake....

Definitely a work in progress... My first goal was to make her useable, then work on making her pretty....

Hi Shane, an WELCOME- it's about time! :)
You'll find the iboats members have a wealth of knowledge, and tinnnys are their favorite.....
I'm particularly glad to hear that you've got "McKenna Renee" floating and running!!
Good job, my friend. I know how much work it was. Now you can enjoy being on the water again.
All you need now is a slip over here near the Flats.

EZ and aspeck- you guys GOTTA come down to the Bay. If it helps, we could have a raftup in your honor.

Rob, I did make it down once towards the end of the season last year. Put in at Anchor in North East and followed Blue Crabber around for a while and he was a great guide. We had a lot of fun and I can't wait to get back down this year. Just a few minutes ago I order some charts and the Cruising Guide.
