Iphone upgrade and Itunes

As much as I hated to to do it, there is no support on my 3G, plus most of the apps now run dog slow, so it's time. I think ATT is purposing killing it off, but that another thread.

Anyway, got a iphone 5 coming, but don't know what all I need, to get everything from the old phone to the new one and than have itunes, like everything it sees, without freaking out.

Also, how do I make sure everything is cleaned off of the old phone, before I sell it?

Connect the 3g to your compand right click on it in Itunes and choose Backup to gaurantee you get a good backup.

Setup the IP5 with your backup. Once you know you have everything on your new phone...get on your old 3g and follow this map: Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings
