Is 1/2 in fuel line too big?

Everything else is 1/4 in, but the main line coming from the quick connect to the engine to the bottom fuel pump is 1/2 in. would that make my boat run like crap?

What size motor is it? Generally too large of a fuel line would not cause any issue. Motors above 100HP should have 3/8" fuel line. Motors of HP below that can use 5/16" fuel line.

I would suppose some 250HP + motors might need a 1/2" fuel line, however, I am glad not to buy gas for them, if that is the case.

BTW 1/4" fuel line internal to the motor is normal on motors of 150HP and less.
