Is 16.5 volts to much?

Hey guys 84 mercury 4 cylinder 50hp I'm seeing 16.5volts on my fish finder while at rest battery shows 12.8 should I be concerned?

That engine has an unregulated charging system. so at high speed the voltages will go that high, It isn't putting out a lot of current so it is not going quickly destroy the Battery. The Battery will need to be checked regularly to make sure the electrolyte isn't too low. One reason why AGM and Sealed Maintainence Free Batteries are not to be used on these engines
