Any boat shoulld have no less than 70% of its maximum rated HP to achieve "minimum" acceptable performance. That does not mean you can't get by with less or that YOU won't be satisfied with performance. But you asked for a recommendation and your boat with a 90 would be a slug in my experience when heavily loaded. A bigger engine loafing is more economical than one that must be run nearly wide open to get on plane, stay on plane, or simply get about with any reasonable speed. Remember, with a bigger engine you can throttle back. With a small engine you can't.
