2 or 3 cyl? <br />Both should serve you well if properly maintained.

Very good engine. Smooth, quiet and poretty much bullet proof. Only negative thing about them is the use more fuel than a 2 cylinder model.<br />Also check the lower unit for water. This motor if stored up right had a tendancy to eat drive shaft seals.

Can you give me an idea how much more fuel? Is it substantial? This motor has just been fully serviced and has 130 psi compression in all three cylinders and they will give me a 1 yr warrenty on it since I am buying my Bombard boat from them as well.

It uses a significant amount more than the a 25hp two cylinder.
