If you no longer run a mechanical fuel pump (running electric fuel pump) is a marine carb still required? Since u no longer have the danger of a ruptured diaphram. Just curious

Yes. The fitting for the fuel pump clear tube is not the only thing different about Marine carbs.

Can I smoke at the gas station, if I smoke imported cigars instead of the local cigarettes that are know to cause cancer, low birth weight, yellow fingers and poor vocabulary????

Yes.
Very required. A local express cruiser just blew up here in Tampa Bay last weekend, badly injurying lots of people. Gas fumes are nasty and everything must meet CG requirements.

As a side question...You have the electric fuel pump controlled by an oil pressure switch so that it doesn't run when the key is on but the engine not running?
