I replaced a fan/capacitor on my aircon and discovered that someone had linked up a relay to a start capacitor and a dual run capacitor (they wired it up as if they replaced a run capacitor with a dual run but left the relay and start capacitor in place).
This seems really perplexing, but to cut a long story short. Is a relay to the dual run capacitor required if I use the dual alone?
I removed the start capacitor and am now only running the dual.
