is degreaser ok?

Hey, I have some motor degreaser that can be used on cars and marine motors. If I spray this under the cowl on the motor, and rinse it off, will all the water rinse out, or will it go into the lower unit? I just want to use this because on the motor and parts there is a build-up of old oil and grease that has been there for years. Thanks<br /><br />Brent

I use it all the time on all engines I have to werk on.<br />Just use caution around the carbs and the electronics. A little water wont KILL these, but it doesn't help them any iether.<br />So stuff a rag into the carb throats, and dry-off the CD with a towel, and you will be fine.
