Is it a good idea to wear headgear?

I am thinking of buying some H2O headgear from Overtons. I never see anyone wearing headgear but I like the idea of the added safety while wakeboarding and skiing.

There are trees and stumps in my local lake that worry me sometimes.

What do you think about wearing this H2O headgear?
