Thank you for your help. I am new and not quite sure how to post things. In response to the posts left for me, reguarding the lanyard...I dont know where/what that is. No the coil is not generating any spark. Nothing happened between last year and this year. Last time it was out, ran fine. stored for winter and no spark. Oh wait, hubby added a bottle of dry gas, then saw not for 2 stroke engins. Before any attempt to start, was completely drained and new gas added. Battery was not disconnected.
