I've got a Merc 3000 Control box, center console style, 90's model or so.

Trying to rig it up for a Johnnyrude.

I bought and installed universal type cables, merc ends on the control box, Johnson ends on the motor side.

Ran into a snag though.

It's with the throttle cable.

Mercury 3000 wants to pull on the throttle cable to adance the throttle.

1989 40 HP Johnson wants to be pushed for advanced throttle.

Anyone know if these boxes are made to where you can flip the cabs to reverse the operatation of the throttle cable?

as in can't be done, not atleast without a machine shop making it all up, to fit in the case.

That box must be designed for left or right hand controll installations. Normally
you just switch lever sides. Good to know, glad you persevered.
