Is it safe to cap off connector assy. ( on the lower unit ) ?

Can i just cap it off since the lower unit is off instead of getting the connector assy. since it was not used anyways ?

Do i need to cap this off , or just leave open ? Iam wanting to get the lower unit back on .

What connector? We can't see your boat and don't know if you are talking about an electrical connector, water connector, or fuel connector.

Its the speedo and just leave it open as if capped off water can be trapped in it and freeze.

Sorry , it is the speedo one . When i took off the lower unit ( had to use wedges ) it got smashed . Checked a couple dealer here fri and sat. none had the connector in stock and wanted to bolt lower unit back on to see if new water pump assembly works .
