Is it safe to mix yamalube and synthetic 2 stroke motor oil?

I have a 2001 150 Yamaha HPDI 2 stroke. Low oil warning came on only had a gallon of penzoil synthetic 2 stroke oil to pour into reservior tank . I got 2 gallons of yamalube to fill the reservour tank. I was wondering if I should pour out the penzoil 2 stroke or go ahead and fill tank with the yamalube? Should I just run the penzoil through then fill up with yamalube when low oil warning comes on? Should I just top it off with the yamalube and call it good .

Don't know if I'm over thinking this, I just wasn't sure if it was a bad idea to mix synthetic and yamalube.

They are both TC-W3 rated so I think I should be ok just wanted some feedback on what I should do.

What does you Owner's Manual say? Most DFI outboards require something more than just TC-W3.

Manual says to use NMMA certified TC-W3 2 stroke oil if yamalube is not available. I know the 2 stroke oil I put in is safe to use on motor .I was just wondering if its ok to mix the synthetic oil with yamalube. the holding tank will hold up to 3 gallons I currently only have 1 gallon in it with the penzoil synthetic.

I would drain it out of the water trap and save it for later , then put the Yamaha lube in

Not always safe to mix synthetic with non synthetic. I've seen the chemicals in synthetic react strangely years ago.

I think I will just run the synthetic blend through then refill with yamalube. Ill just have to be sure to keep extra yamalube in resivior tank and to have yamalube on hand to prevent this from happening again.
