In a previous post somewhere I had stated that "no enlisted person would commit the offenses claimed in Iraq prison scandle without being told to from someone higher up in the chain of command".

If I have read between the lines correctly it seems that the above statement was right on. Take a look at this: http://msnbc.msn.com/id/10811147/
and let me know if it seems like my statement might be correct.

It is a can of worms.... After my 20 year career in the Army on active duty I have drawn my own conclusions. I side with the soldiers not the media.

It is obvious that there are more than two sides to this terrible episode of "torture and mistreatment" of prisoners.
The buck ought to stop with whomsoever gave the order, though some burden of responsiblity should be made to bear on the officers in command at the time.
It is no doubt that this whole ghastly affair has cast a dark cloud on an otherwise impeccable reputation of the professional armed forces of the USA.
It is my belief that no American is proud of the bad judgement exerted by some of its finest in uniform.
As a country of laws, we ought not to act out of haste, "throwing the baby out with the bath water" is certainly not the answer, let the "facts" speak for themselves.
