Is my boat a sidewinder or a clone?

The width is 77 inches and the length is 15' 10". I cannot figure out if it is a sidewinder or a clone. I have not been able to locate the hull id yet. Any help would be great! It did have the sidewinder style wrap around windshield. I cannot seem to get everything matched up with pictures of other boats.

Your photo didn't load. Forum photo function not working well right now.

Use photobucket.com it's free fast and easy, not to mention works well! Paste IMG code into your post text and it's done.

Here are some additional photos. The third one shows the holes were there once was a side badge. Also you can see the difference in the notch were the back of the windshield mounts.

Thank you for working with me on this Bob_VT. Just when I think I have it figured out, I get confused by the different dash, the back windshield mount area of the hull, the front doesn't have the molded lights in the side. I have done everything but sand off the paint yet on the transom, and I cannot see any numbers. However on the starboard side of the transom, under where the trim ring was there are to rivet holes maybe for a hull tag?

Yup probably for a hull tag. My dash is a bit different and the center of the dash sticks out more. Have you checked http://sidewinder-boats.com/ you will find out there are allot of clones but they are all accepted.

The deck is a piece of cake to replace and I redid my transom using 2 pieces of 3/4" plywood. I stayed with epoxy which is stronger then polyester fiberglass resin.

I have been working on mine for a long time and mine has been turtled (upside down) in my yard for a year. Life just has been too busy but.....I will get to it.

Keep your eyes open for a motor. I have seen 60 hp on them all the way up to 225 hp motors......... I also know they like to flip over backwards when powered too high ;)

I like the stripes. The running surface looks like my Baja

I do not have a title, but where I live I don't have to have it. I am going to try to get one once I figure out what it is. I would love to know what boat it is and what year it is so I can restore it. Unfortunately I have been unable to get on the sidewinder site. I keep trying though. I saved this boat from a scrap yard, so I don't know anything about it. I figured that the body line where the windshield mounts at the back and the dash may somehow help me figure it out, but not yet.
