Is my nut too tight?

I've got metal to metal wear marks on only one side of my prop and one side of the housing. Wondering if my main nut is too tight or the shaft is bent. It spins freely when in N. No vibrations at any speeds.

I torque to 55 lbs and then tighten a little more so the lock tabs match the flat side of the main nut.

Some props have different thrust washers needed to be used due to variations. When the washer is laid on the prop, is there any slop side to side?

What is the part number of the prop?

In that case you might have some shaft side play (side to side)

I've been told my nut is too tight....However in your case, either your give is not centered, or you have a bearing issue
