Is my water pump working correctly?

Hello

And thank you for looking!

I recently noticed that my water pump was not spitting out a tell-tail... So, today I removed the tube inside of my cowling and it was clogged with sand. I cleaned it out and now it is spitting water, but I'm not sure if this is good enough compared to other similar outboards I've researched on YouTube. Can anyone provide some insite? Is tis good enough or do I need a new water pump ASAP?

Here is the link for a video of my motor running....

Was there something wrong with my post? A lot of views with no replies, I usually get pretty quick responses here... Did the video work?

Can't see video. If it's been a couple of years or more since the water pump was replaced, I'd put a new one in..

Here ya go. Stream looks a little weak, but could still be clogged up some..

Rick, thanks for reposting the vid and for the comments!

The tube inside the cowl is definitely not clogged, I removed it and confirmed. Could it be clogged somewhere else?

Hi,

I would definetly change or check out your entire water pump and lines again. If you blew out the tube you could still have more sand in the system which will create a hot spot... an ounce of prevention will save you a great big headache later.
