Is the alpha 1 enough for a 350 mag

I am looking at a 22 foot boat with a 350 mag is the alpa 1 enough outdrive for that motor it seems most of the 350 and up are using the bravo ??

I just sold my Sportcraft 24.5' Walkaround - a big heavy boat. It had the 5.7 liter engine and an alpha drive. It did just fine. The alpha drive on a 22 foot boat should hold up with no problems at all. Now if you plan on throwing it in gear with a full throttle all the time.... then you might want to consider something more substantial.

depends on the 350. if its one of the older 260 hp your ok. if newer higher hp 350, keep in mind mercruiser set the hp limit on the alpha at 300 hp

i think you should buy the latest bravo drive and give me the alpha 1. :D
