Is the coupler still good?

I've had to remove the engine (5.7) to replace a rusted oil pan. How can I tell if the coupler is still good to use. It has about 800 hours on it. I have removed the couple from the flywheel and fitted it to the out drive shaft. It has a little play, but not too bad. The splines on the coupler and shaft look good.The rubber looks good also.
Anything else I should look for before I reuse it?
