Hey Gang, purchased an old 78 invader and have put some necessary work into it. However, want to learn to maintain myself (somewhat handy) and not have to take to an expensive mechanic for every little thing. I purchased seloc manual but to tell you the truth not finding very helpful. I know they write these with expectation of certain knowledge of mechanics. Personally dont feel the troubleshooting is very helpful and the black & white pictures are grainey and not much help. Any other ideas that anyone can suggest in addition to these forums would be appreciated ie. - video, color manuals etc.

Factory manual is where its at. I buy OE manuals for my cars too, they're heads above any aftermarket manual available. Far more detailed, and its written by the company that produces the thing, so they do know best.

What engine and outdrive do you have. "78 invader" means nothing in this forum.

Don's got it right. What engine & drive do you have? I used to have a 1978 Invader too, but it was an outboard. So, info needed. Hy
