I need piston rings for my 1960 25hp sea king. Ive been searching the web endlessly, but none of the omc or sierra parts go as far back as 1960. Please help

No problem. Original part number was 302533 which was for individual rings. New number is 378421 which is a set of 3 for one piston. Get them from an Evinrude dealer. Sierra doesn't have them.

Piston ring install tool to open them up and slide them on to the piston and a piston ring compressor to squish them down so you can slide the piston into the cylinder. You probably already know that though.

Hooray I got those little devils on. I didn't use the tools. Instead of trying to pull the ring apart I slid it over the bottom of the piston then pulled the ring apart. Anyway thanks for all the he replies. Tight lines.
