Is there any tricks to getting a manual release valve out of a TNT (1984 Johnny 115)

Got my entire motor down to a pile of parts, literally. Soon to go back together.

The manual release valve wont turn, I want to replace it, so I took the snap-ring out, but cannot pull that valve assm. Last time I did one just taking the ring off, it popped right out. This one however doesnt seem to want to move. Didnt want to force it and break something.

Any tips for getting these out. Out of my entire teardown of a salty '84, I only broke 2 bolts! And want to save this TNT-it works good.

Appreciate any insight.

It unscrews. Use a hand held impact screwdriver if necessary.

You might also have to use some heat around it along with the impact screwdriver.

Been reading more on this topic. I wasnt sure if it unscrewed "within" itself or threaded into the surrounding housing. I'm real good with old crusty fasteners and very patient I'll get it out eventually. TNT works just fine, I had some thoughts to just leave it but since its on the work bench, might as well tackle it.

If you get it freed up that way if you ever need it you'll have it. IE: trim mtr quit working.
