Is there anything better than bronze wool?

Tinkering with the fishing boat and the splash rain was kinda bugging me the way it looked. I started with ever bright and quickly realized not good enough. Then I tried scotch bright and knew I was wasting my time. I went online and ordered a box of bronze wool, took me less than 15 minutes to get the splash rail ready for ever bright. Shame you can not get bronze wool in most hardware stores best thing ever for boats.

I agree, if you use steel wool, on most any metal, it leaves behind microscopic dust. It will leave rusty speckles over time that won't go away. In my woodworking, when stripping to bare wood, steel wool will do the same thing. I only use bronze wool on most everything. Except in the shower, that's a no-no.
I get my bronze wool from the local marina, they have it in the ships store.
