Just looked up pn's for my 88spl and 115....but is there "kits" that have most of the common items to O-ring, and reseal lower units? Maybe also including impeller items too?
going to open both up soon and would like to have most items oh-hand prior. Wondering if there are kits available so I can order one item, that contains everything?

Thanks

Yes, a motor that late should easily have a re-seal kit available. I bet you can find it here at the iBoats store. Your waterpump kit will be a separate kit, than the lower unit re-seal kit though.

Actually there are 3 kits: reseal, impeller kit and water pump repair kit. The repair kit has the housing, screws and other items to replace the upper housing.
The part numbers you need are: OEM impeller kit.....5001593 Sierra.........18-3059
OEM seal kit.....5006373 Sierra............18-2623

Hey guys,
Please clarify reseal kit for me/us.
Not to hijack but unless we are talking about gear housing the only seal I know of on that motors Lu is exhaust gasket that seems to be easily reusable.

Yep, all the seals in the lower unit. Upper gearcase seal, shift rod seal, prop shaft seal, just to name a few.

just did this 2 days ago with a kit I got form here, there are quite a few seals that go into an engine and some of them are a real pain to get at, the drive shaft seal below the pump was the biggest pain and then getting the prop shaft hub out was second.

You cna look but I doubt you will find a better price or service tha you will get right here at iboats.
